The Fayette Futbol Club, under the banner of the Fayette County Youth Soccer League, will be hosting tryouts for certain age teams.  These tryouts are for a select program where the players and/or parents feel that they need a more competitive atmosphere than recreation affords, but are not quite ready for the higher level of select soccer, i.e. AFC Lightning, Concorde.  Therefore, the Fayette Futbol Club was created the fall of 2006 with a U13 boy’s team and a U17 girl’s team, playing in the lower select brackets.
There has been such interest in this alternative program that the number of teams offering tryouts has grown with the U14 boys and girls’ team as well as the U15 boy’s team. We will endeavor to form teams in each of the age groups if it is felt there are enough qualified players attending the tryouts and enough qualified coaches can be found.

This division of FCYSL is not to compete with AFC Lightning or any other select organization. It is strictly offered as a less expensive alternative. The licensed coaches for these teams are volunteers and may not have the experience level that other select groups offer. Therefore, we can keep the cost at a lower level, charging a nominal registration fee, along with tournament fees. We encourage players to tryout for the other select organizations in the area and if that does not work out or is not what you are looking for then come out and give us a try.

FFC Select tryouts for the Fall 08 season will be conducted June 16, 17, 18 and 19 at McCurry Park North, form 6:30-7:30. Participants will need to register at the North concession between 5:45-6:15. Participants are encouraged to attend at least 3 of the 4 tryout dates.

Teams will only be formed for the age groups that we have certified coaches for and in age groups that we have enough qualified players for. We are not responsible for any age group that does not form due to a shortage of players and/or coaches.

Tryouts will be for the following age groups:

U13Girls                      For players who are 11 and 12 as of 31July08

U14Boys                      For players who are 12 and 13 as of 31July08
U14Girls                      For players who are 12 and 13 as of 31July 08

U16Boys                      For players who are 14 and 15 as of 31July08
